Welcome to Mid-Illinois Sport Horse Organization! MISHO brings together hunter, jumper, dressage, eventing and sport horse enthusiasts to provide educational opportunities that promote horsemanship skills and to promote and govern shows that provide a fair and equitable competition for our members while promoting safety and sportsmanship at all times.

MISHO is hosting a dressage clinic with Kate Fleming-Kuhn at CW Equestrian Center in Mascoutah, Illinois.  Kate Fleming-Kuhn is a USDF Certified Instructor through Fourth Level and USDF Bronze, Silver (at age 16), and Gold Medalist (at age 21). Kate has trained horses and riders through Grand Prix with regional and national success. Kate’s introduction to horses came early through her father. She began riding at StarWest as a junior rider in 1992, taking lessons with Alice Martin.

MISHO is committed to providing education opportunities for its members.  MISHO will be subsidizing part of the lesson fee to MISHO members and will be paying the facility fee instead of including this fee into the costs for riders.

Yes we still have grant money available.  Any current MISHO member is eligible for $50 toward any clinic in which they are riding.  Your only requirement is to volunteer 2 hours at any not-for profit organization and write an article for this newsletter about what you learned. See the Grant Program page for further details and a grant application.
